MikeMichael J. Cross

Owner/Operator, Carpenter

My name is Michael J. Cross. I was born and raised in Chesterville and live just outside the village now. I’m Christian, Son (I was raised by an amazing single mother), Husband, and Father. I’m blessed with a beautiful wife and three healthy children. I take each of these roles very seriously. But to be honest, I’m not a very serious person at all! I always tell the team that if you can’t have fun at work, then don’t bother coming in!

My hobbies include Hunting, Fishing, Music, and Sports. Come the first two weeks of EVERY November I head into the bush and reconnect with nature and life. I fish as much has I can in the summer, and a little in the winter. I play guitar and write songs in my spare time. I was part of the North Dundas minor hockey program as a child and now volunteer as a coach in the same organization. I also played baseball for Chesterville, Winchester, Mountain, and the Upper Canada Heat.

God has made it a priority in my life to serve others. I volunteer with the Faith Pantry, Handy Man Heroes, Minor Hockey, Minor Baseball, and wherever help is needed.

Professionally I’ve been a carpenter for 19 years, I graduated college and obtained my red seal license by the time I was 20 years old. I started my 1st business when I was 22, M. Cross Contracting, which we still operate today. I started Local 613 Property Maintenance in 2021 when I saw that there was a need for a reputable company that was willing to focus on smaller projects. I look forward to what the future holds for me. I’m always looking for opportunities for personal growth, no that’s not a personal short joke… Jeff!
